Martinsburg High School has a well-balanced and successful band program and is under the direction of Bulldog Band Alumni, Mrs. Casie Rogers Adams, MHS Class of 2009. The MHS Bulldog Marching Band competes in the Tournament of Bands and has won 1st place in Group IV at TOB Chapter Championships in 2010, 2011, 2021, 2022, & 2023.. The Jazz Ensemble has received a “Superior” rating in every state and national festival it has attended since 1981, including the “State Honor Band” award in 2010. The Concert Band has also received consistent “Superior” ratings at state and national festivals. In addition to the Marching, Jazz, and Concert Ensembles, Martinsburg High School also has an award-winning Show Choir Band and Steel Drum Ensemble.
The MHS Bulldog Marching Band will represent Martinsburg High School and Berkeley County, WV as we perform in the Disney Parade in Magic Kingdom on April 3, 2024, the first time since 2005. The Bulldog Marching Band has also been accepted to perform in the 2025 National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, DC on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
